"Helpful international tips, but trust your gut too"
I found the overseas tips useful overall, especially for getting a quick feel for different places. Some countries definitely could use more detail, though. It’s a good starting point, but I’d still say trust your instincts and do a little extra digging before you go.

"Clear video and easy to follow"
I’ve watched a few webinars on FamilyTreeWebinars, usually when I’m already feeling mentally drained, and the audio and video have been really solid so far. The voices are clear, there’s no weird echo, and the slides are easy to read. I also really appreciate that it doesn’t keep buffering or cutting out, because I just don’t have the patience for that sometimes. It makes it a lot easier to follow along without getting frustrated

"I’m new to family research, so..."
I’m new to family research, so i wasn’t sure where to begin. These webinars made everything feel a lot less overwhelming. Did a few parts move a little too fast for me? Sure, but overall it was easy enough to follow and definitely helpful.

"A bit too expensive for regular use"
To be fair, it seems like a useful service, but the cost feels a little high for what you get. For a family just trying to do some casual research, it’s not really something I’d consider affordable on a regular basis...

"Helpful for staying sharp, with a few small drawbacks"
I’ve been using Family Tree Webinars to keep up with genealogy stuff, and overall it’s been useful. There are a lot of topics to choose from, and I like that I can watch whenever I actually have time. I almost always come away with some new tip or way of looking at a research problem. That said, not every webinar is equally interesting or as in-depth as I’d hoped, so it can be a little hit or miss. Still, for continuing to build my skills, it’s been worth it for me.

"Helpful DNA webinars"
I started using FamilyTreeWebinars mostly for the DNA genealogy stuff, and it’s been really useful. A few things that used to feel way over my head finally clicked.

I like that the presenters use real examples instead of just talking in circles. Makes it easier to follow when it comes to matches, ethnicity, and unknown family lines.
The site is simple to use, and there’s plenty to watch. Definitely worth checking out if you’re trying to get better at DNA research.

"Well... I do like the topics they..."
Well... I do like the topics they cover, and most of the presenters are good. But the live webinars haven’t always been the smoothest for me. A couple of times the video froze or the audio started lagging, and I had to refresh to get it working again. The replays are usually fine afterward, so it’s not a huge deal, but the live reliability could definitely be better. Not terrible, just a little frustrating

"Kind of hard to find stuff"
I had a tough time using the site, honestly. I’d click around thinking I was in the right place, then somehow end up somewhere else, and then I’d forget what I was even looking for. Maybe it’s just the layout, or the menus, I’m not sure, but it felt more confusing than it needed to be.

"Handouts felt like a missed opportunity"
The syllabus was thin, and the handouts didn’t really help me much. It felt like a preventable issue, honestly, just a bit more detail or clearer materials would’ve made the class easier to follow.

"Trying to use the archives was a bit frustrating"
I mostly signed up because I wanted access to the on-demand webinars, but digging through the older videos was kind of a hassle. The search didn’t really help me much, and a few videos took longer to load than I expected. There’s definitely good content in there, it’s just... not as smooth or easy to use as I thought it would be.

"Pretty good place to learn with others"
I had a good experience here. The community was helpful, and I picked up a few new tricks along the way...

"Nice to have recordings to fall back on"
I really like that the recordings are available when I miss the live sessions. It makes it easy to catch up later, usually when I finally get a quiet moment. A few of the older recordings took me a little while to track down, but overall it’s been helpful.

"Learned Way More Than I Expected"
I learned a lot here. The classes were helpful and easy to follow, especially compared to some other courses I’ve tried that felt confusing or all over the place. This one felt much more straightforward and actually kept me interested.

"The case studies made it easier to apply"
The case studies were really helpful because they showed how everything works in real situations. It made the ideas click much faster, and I could actually see how to use the information instead of just reading through theory.

"Helpful here and there, but kind of a slog"
I did get a few useful tips out of it, like checking local records and being more organized with source notes, so I can’t say it was completely useless. But a lot of the webinars were slow and kept going over things I already knew. The website didn’t help either, it was clunky enough that finding what I wanted felt like extra work. Maybe it’s fine if you’re brand new, but for me, it just wasn’t worth the time.

"It felt surface-level to me. They kind..."
It felt surface-level to me. They kind of skimmed over the steps when I was hoping for more detailed guidance and actual help. What made it more frustrating was that it wasn’t clear who was responsible for what, so I kept feeling like things were being passed around instead of someone taking ownership...

"Nice variety and useful"
I liked the mix of genealogy topics in here, there was a good variety and it was helpful overall. I just wish a few of them went a little more deeper, but still useful.

"Pretty good for learning genealogy tools"
I mostly use FamilyTreeWebinars for, you know, the talks about software and different genealogy tools. They go over stuff like DNA tools, mapping, record websites, and the various family tree programs, which is helpful when I get stuck or just don’t know what to try next. Some of the webinars are, like, a little on the basic side, but they’re still useful overall. I took off one star because I do wish they had more newer updates on tools and features.

"I found a few webinars that really helped..."
I found a few webinars that really helped me make progress with some old records I’d been stuck on for a while. The information was clear, easy to follow, and actually relevant to genealogy work. It felt reliable and well put together, which made me feel confident using the tips in my own family research
